Rachel is an artist, designer and creative facilitator based in her studio at Hanley Farm Business Centre on the edge of the Forest of Dean. She has worked with many primary schools throughout Gloucestershire and beyond, delivering a wide range of art projects. She is passionate about inspiring creativity and believes that engaging in a creative activity is about the journey the participant embarks on whilst making it. Creativity develops a range of skills such as self-expression, emotional well-being, problem solving, expanding vocabulary and increasing an understanding of other cultures. But above all, it should be fun.
Rachel is committed to providing children and young people with the opportunity to explore, respond and develop ideas of their own. As a trained secondary art teacher, she is experienced in delivering a variety of workshops including mosaic, mural, textiles, environmental art and other 2d and 3d forms.
Workshops can be delivered on a one-off basis or as a series of sessions. The content can link to other areas of the curriculum, such as history and geography, plus making reference to other artists and craftspeople. Rachel provides all equipment and materials.
