Join me in my well-equipped studio for a fun, relaxing and inspiring time, creating a stunning chair guaranteed to brighten up your home.
** PLEASE NOTE: The chair pictured is a sample, the style will be slightly different - read on for further details **
You will have access to my wide collection of gorgeous vitreous glass tiles, ceramic beads, broken vintage plates and buttons and I will guide you through the tips and techniques to create a mosaic panel to add to your chair. During the workshop, you’ll also paint the chair using chalk paint and cover the seat pad.
Within the whole day workshop, you will:
• Plan a design
• Cut and shape your tesserae (tiles)
• Produce a mosaic on “mosaic mesh”, ready to adhere to your chair
• Learn how to attach the panel and grout it when done
• Paint your chair and cover the seat pad
Never tried mosaic before? Then don’t worry. This workshop is suitable for beginners and I have plenty of tried and tested examples to help inspire you.
The chair will be supplied - picture of the actual style is shown in the images. It's the brown, undecorated design. (Feel free to contact me if you’d like to bring your own chair)
We won’t have time to grout during the workshop, but a full demonstration will be given and you will be given enough grout to finish off your mosaic at home.
